In our extensive playtime with the game, we've discovered several important, previously undocumented mechanics as well as some lesser-known quirks that we're excited to share with you.

Using the Skeletal Militiamen Spirit Ash, you can summon two sekletal warriors to assist you in your endeavors. A creature like that does not die unless your weapon deals Holy damage to it, or you hit them in the face with your weapon again before they can use their spells again. Anyone who has faced one of these creatures knows that they are impossible to kill without using a Holy weapon.

As long as they do not suffer Holy damage or are killed before they are reanimated, they can effectively remain alive indefinitely. Ultimately, this is why you would want to summon this summoner, as their damage is otherwise quite low. However, this is not the case.

When gold begins to fall from the sky, it is time to begin farming enemies.

It is possible, though rare, in Elden Ring, for the night time to be accompanied by a hidden but critical modifier. Your Rune acquisition and item discovery abilities will be boosted if your screen is covered in golden leaves that have fallen from the sky.

When a weapon is held in two hands, the requirement for Strength is lessened significantly.

The fact that you can two-handed a weapon will also lower the Strength stat requirement for that weapon, which you may not have been aware of previously. Alternatively, increasing your own effective Strength by 50% is equivalent to increasing your own effective Strength by 50%.

You'll appreciate this if you ever get your hands on a greatsword or greataxe with an absurd STR requirement. As long as it's 50% higher than your current STR, equip the weapon and wield it two-handedly, and you'll be able to maximize its benefits to the fullest extent possible.

You should avoid selling your items on the open market unless you intend to sell them to a merchant or a blacksmith. Following that, you will see how much money you will receive for each item, as well as the number of Runes they have in their possession.

Instead of discouraging you from mash the buttons on your controller to your heart's content, Elden Ring actually encourages it! At the very least, it appears to be the case in this particular situation.

This game is no exception to the rule that certain enemies have unblockable grab attacks, which is a standard feature of FromSoft games. The fact that some of them can last for several seconds and deal multiple ticks of damage with each hit renders them particularly hazardous. You might feel helpless in that situation, but you aren't, believe it or not.

From ladders, both you and your adversaries can launch attacks against each other.

Similarly, if your adversaries catch you in the middle of a ladder climb, they will do the same thing to you, so do not believe that you are completely untouchable on ladders. In addition, many smaller enemies have no problem scaling walls and other obstacles in order to get to you, which is something we all tend to forget when playing video games.
