My now-husband and I met throughout a visit home to New York. My best friend required me to a party he was hosting at his apartment.

We planned a visit back to New York like we usually do in September to celebrate our anniversary. His family had planned a cookout, and in the end, were there so my husband required breakfast the morning of and sent me to obtain a massage. When we returned to his parent’s house later on that day for the cookout there is a whole engagement placed in the backyard with all of his family and our closest friends.

I thought I wanted a feeltimes princess ball gown until I started fitting dresses or boho wedding dress. My husband went to some tux shops and tried on different jackets until we selected the color he liked probably the most – bright green.

Choose what you would like and what style works well for you. Shopping for wedding gowns is when you often get probably the most opinions but after the day, it's your special day. The dress you select should cause you to feel the happiest and probably the most beautiful you’ve ever felt. I also suggest taking your time and effort. Had I gone using the very first dress I tried on that I thought was the main one I wouldn’t be in the gown I got married in.

So emotional. I didn’t cry while you see in the movies but I definitely felt emotional. I checked out the pictures I took within the dress every single day until I got married.

My big day was honestly everywhere and not in the best way. To start, it had been raining, and my makeup artist was behind schedule. Members of my wedding ceremony were also late. A lot of guests didn’t show and my officiant mispronounced my name. Unfotunelty, we also didn’t get much time to use the guests who have been able to make it because of Hurricane Ida approaching.

The beautiful part was that about 2 hours before the ceremony up to the last photo location the rain held off. My husband and I were soggy towards the end of the night because of getting caught in the rain but yet we had to cancel our reception dinner because of flooding in New York City.
