A Flower-Filled Wedding

Meet Becky, a primary school teacher, and Mark, a wine merchant, who married around the 26th of May 2018 at St Peter's Church, Humshaugh, Northumberland, then a reception in Becky's parents' gorgeous garden.

"It was always my dream to obtain married there and also the day after we got engaged my father had already been around the phone to the neighbor to ascertain if we could use their field over the road for that marquee."

"My parents’ garden happens to be beautiful and it has an original walled section but my parents visited so much effort to make it even better. My dad was concerned that even just at the end of May there wouldn't be sufficient flowering so he built a polytunnel to bring around the flowers early."

On her feet Becky wore shoes, while for scent she opted for any perfume, that was a Christmas gift from Mark's parents. For jewelry, she opted for any pair of earrings that had been a present from her very own parents on her behalf sixteenth birthday.

Becky walked down the aisle on her behalf dad's arm, preceded by her four bridesmaids. Becky and Mark chose two readings- Corinthians 13, read by Becky's sister, then 'That Still and Settled Place' by Edward Monkton, read by Mark's eldest sister.

Mark waited at the end of the aisle inside a blue three-piece suit, with a complimentary pink tie from the same supplier.

"One of our highlights from the day was being in a position to drive Mark's Dad's car back in the service. It meant we'd a bit of break just a couple of us and Lucie was in a position to capture that perfectly."

On returning to the ceremony, Becky, Mark as well as their guests enjoyed canapes, drinks, and photos within the garden, before moving towards the marquee for that wedding breakfast.

"I hunted for months for sage green bridesmaid dresses also it was becoming probably the most stressful part of the wedding. I should have ordered and returned about twenty dresses when I saw a billboard on Facebook and decided to provide it a go. My bridesmaids liked them straight away plus they all looked stunning."

Captured the glorious sunshine and much more glorious happy smiles in her own bright and lightweight style and Becky and Mark also opted for any pre-wedding shoot to enhance their confidence in front of the camera- a very excellent idea in case your photographer offers it.

"Lucie was great. She blended along with all of the other guests and she or he wasn't whatsoever intrusive and she or he got plenty of natural, relaxed shots of our guests which is exactly what we should want. We are generally a bit camera shy and posing didn't come naturally so being in a position to meet Lucie before our special day meant that I was far more relaxed and that we ended up enjoying getting the photos taken."

"My dad grew flowers in pots for within the marquee but additionally made a huge wall of flowers to visit outside the marquee to line the entire length of the tent. They helped make your day for me. I am proud of him and all sorts of his effort and I am pleased it all paid off plus they all flowered."

Evening entertainment came in the form of a band while usher Ross sang the very first dance song, 'Every time we touch' by Cascada.

"Mark was inside a band with Ross for a long time during school and after university and Ross sang my favorite song they accustomed to playing. I was accustomed to requesting it at their gigs and we joked he would sing it at our wedding. I didn't think it might happen!"

"Dreaming big doesn't need to mean spending plenty of money and don't underestimate the talents of your friends and family! We did a lot of bits ourselves or we drafted our amazing friends and family to assist. I made all in our signs, table plans, place names, etc manually and Mark and the family made all of the larger creations."
